Dimmers, smart switches, and controls
A lot of the difference between a fixture that looks builder-grade and one that looks custom comes down to the switch, not the fixture. We install standard dimmers, multi-location (3-way/4-way) dimming, and smart switches that pair with your existing WiFi or a hub. LED fixtures need dimmers rated for LED loads — the older incandescent-style dimmers cause flicker and buzzing on LED drivers, which is one of the most common callback issues we see on DIY jobs.

High ceilings, vaulted rooms, and older wiring
Two-story entryways and vaulted great rooms are common in newer Celina and Prosper builds, and they're also where DIY lighting projects go sideways — an 18-foot chandelier install isn't a stepladder job. What drives the cost of a lighting job
Every lighting job is a little different, so instead of a flat price we look at: the number and type of fixtures, ceiling height and access (a 9-foot flat ceiling is a different job than an 18-foot vault), whether the wiring and box already exist or a new circuit/box is needed, and whether you want new switching, dimming, or smart controls added. Can you install a fixture I already bought?
Yes, we regularly install customer-supplied fixtures. We'll check that the fixture's weight and wiring match the existing box and circuit before we hang it, and flag anything that needs upgrading first.
Do you install chandeliers on high or vaulted ceilings?
Yes, including two-story entryways and vaulted great rooms. We bring the appropriate lift or ladder equipment for the ceiling height rather than relying on a standard stepladder.
Can I add a dimmer to my existing LED lights?
Usually, but the dimmer has to be rated for LED loads or you'll get flicker or buzzing. We can check your fixtures and recommend a compatible dimmer, or replace an incompatible one that's already installed.
